Morten LØKKEGAARD is a Member of European Parliament (Renew - Denmark), serving from 2009 to 2014 and 2016 to the present. In the 10th European Parliament, he is a member of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) and a substitute on the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO), both of which have played instrumental roles in the creation and revision of the Cybersecurity Act (CSA). Prior to becoming an MEP, Morten was a journalist , communications consultant and former television host. Morten holds a degree from the Danish School of Journalism.
